Frequently asked

Membership · Practical

When does my membership year begin?

Membership runs from the date of acceptance and renews on its anniversary. New members joining mid-cycle receive back issues from the current year so the volume is complete.

How is payment handled?

Once your application is acknowledged, the Membership Secretary will send payment instructions by email. Accepted methods are check, money order, and online payment in USD.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Internet members can upgrade to Regular at any point during the year — the difference is prorated against the time remaining in your membership year.

Do you ship Bulletins internationally?

Yes. Regular Membership includes worldwide postage — $45 for USA, $50 for Canada and Mexico, $65 for all other countries. Bulletins are sent by standard surface mail and typically arrive within two to three weeks of publication.

Can I attend Collectos before joining?

Yes — all MECA Collectos and gatherings are open to everyone, regardless of membership. That includes the regional swap meets, the European Collectos, and the annual International Gathering. Visitors are always welcome to attend, browse the swap tables, and meet fellow collectors.

What about the Swap Sheet?

All members — Regular and Internet — may submit listings to the Swap Sheet free of charge. Submission deadlines are published in each issue and on the Bulletin page.
